Making diversity work for Long Island employers since 1994
The Employment Connection, a division of UCP of Long Island, has been working to meet the diversity needs of Long Island employers since 1994. We have successfully connected local businesses with hundreds of qualified workers with disabilities.
We approach our mission with a focus on the special workforce requirements of businesses in our community. We provide referrals for a wide range of positions – from hard-to-fill, high-turnover entry level positions to professional positions in various industries, as well as part-time employees, temporary workers and outsourcing.
97% of the workers we placed in 2014 were still working in their jobs after 90 days.
Our professional staff understands that our job isn’t complete until we place a worker who is confident and competent in their job and an asset to their employer’s organization. To make it happen, we deliver a comprehensive array of services including candidate assessments, job matching, skills training and job coaching at your site. Our job placement and support services have maintained national accreditation based on our high levels of customer satisfaction.
